Hello, I'm Mikaela Sebel – a passionate graphic designer with a love for creativity and a deep connection to the world around me. Originally from Ontario, Canada, I now call Rye, East Sussex, my home. My journey into graphic design began in 2018 during a co-op placement at Signarma, which ignited a career I’ve grown to love. After completing my design education at Seneca College, I transitioned into a full-time role, where I’ve had the privilege of working on various exciting projects ever since.
Design has been a part of my life from an early age, but it wasn’t until high school that I truly connected with it. My cousin, a graphic designer, inspired me to explore this path, and ever since, I’ve been fascinated by how design can tell stories and create meaningful connections. I specialize in branding and advertising, though I enjoy exploring all aspects of design and constantly push myself to learn new techniques and improve my craft.
Beyond design, I’m an avid equestrian, a passionate traveler, and a lover of photography and crafting. My 15 years of horse riding have taught me patience and perseverance, while my travels—especially across Europe—continue to inspire and shape my designs. My photography work, in particular, influences my design thinking, as I believe capturing moments helps me translate emotions into visual form.
Whether I’m creating a branding campaign, exploring new places, or capturing images through my lens, I do it all with an eagerness to learn, evolve, and make a positive impact.
